About Us

The Lakeshore Stamp Club (LSC) was founded in 1961 by Dr. W. Wasson and other collecting enthusiasts from the West Island of Montreal. The first club exhibition was held at Stewart Hall, Pointe-Claire, in 1964. The first national exhibit was held at the Dorval Community Centre in 1981. A national exhibit has been held every 10 years since then. The most recent national event was the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada exhibition held in 2011.

Club Members

The club started with 11 members and grew over the years, with membership peaking in excess of 300. Current membership is about 120, including 11 Life Members.

Mission Statement

The LSC has committed to further interest in stamp collecting through regular club meetings, educational programs, seminars, and an Annual Regional Exhibition and bourse. The club maintains an active presence in many community events to foster interest in philatelic endeavours.
